Il mio lavoro non riguarda la natura, ma i misteri della comunicazione, e gli animali sono rivelatori di questi misteri. Gli animali sono sempre stati al fianco dell’uomo, abbiamo il cane, l’asino, il cavallo, l’uccello, ma essi ci rivelano anche il rapporto dell’uomo con l’alterità, con l’altro. Rappresentano sia la connessione che la comunicazione inconoscibile. 

Quindi tutto diventa forma, tutte queste cose, gli animali, le storie, l’architettura, tutti gli elementi di cui stiamo parlando esistono nella mia testa e quando inizio a realizzare un’opera posso pescare dalla mia testa, ad esempio, la testa di un cavallo. Ma non si tratta della testa del cavallo. È solo una forma che fa parte del mio lessico.

My work is not about nature, but about the mysteries of communication, and animals reveal these mysteries. Animals have also always been with man, so you have the dog, the donkey, the horse, the bird, but they also reveal man’s relationship with alterity, with the other. They represent both connection and unknowable communication. 

So everything becomes form, all of these things, the animals, the histories, the architecture, all of the elements that we’re talking about exist in my head and when I am starting to make a work I can drawn from my mind, the head of a horse for example. But it’s not about the head of the horse. It is just a form that is within my vocabulary.
